John Littleford Web Designer
"As a kid, I always had a dream of being a top tennis player. I trained hard and actually became quite good. However, I soon discovered that at the top, tennis is a game for giants, not 5' 8" guys like me.
So at the age of 25, I decided if you can't beat them, teach them and became a professional tennis coach. Teaching tennis is very rewarding, and I had many successes along the way with some of my students even playing at Wimbledon.
During my spell as a coach I co-founded a company that provided education to professional coaches around the world. This is when I was introduced to the world of websites.
Our company, MTI, needed a website, so we hired a local company to build us one. We needed a membership website, that could also take bookings for our courses and have an online shop for our many teaching resources. To our frustration, the website we had built never really performed as we wanted, and it cost us an absolute fortune. This is when I decided to have a go myself and enrolled in several courses to qualify me to help us to build our own. This is when I discovered a whole new passion that suited the creative side of my nature."

About John Littleford - the tennis coach
Hi, I am an experienced tennis coach who has been teaching tennis for over 30 years. I have been Head Coach at many clubs over the years including Barnet LTC, Our Lady of Muswell LTC, David Lloyd Chigwell and David Lloyd Gidea Park. I have taught players of all levels, including players who have played Wimbledon and other grand slam tournaments.
New Fast Track Teaching Method
I created the MTI Method with Andy Magrath. It’s a revolutionary accelerated learning method that helps to make tennis much easier for players of all levels to improve quickly.
Andy and I have tutored many coaches and players to use this method, both internationally and around the UK to great success.
Published Author of a Tennis Book
I wrote a tennis book with Andy Magrath called ‘Tennis Strokes and Tactics’ which is currently available here on Amazon.
Having taken my first steps in this world on a grass court, it was inevitable that tennis would become my passion. At junior level I represented the UK at international tournaments. I became champion of Middlesex at Under 21 level, I was given county colours and represented them at county week at Devonshire Park in Eastbourne. I also did the same for Hertfordshire, become champion at doubles, earning my county colours and played top level county week tennis for over 10 years.
My Teaching Philosophy
For most, Tennis is hard game to play and that is usually because of 1 of 2 reasons, the player has had no coaching to start with or has been taught the conventional slow tedious method employed by most national tennis organisations. The truth is many people, even those with really good ball sense find tennis boring. Usually because there are so few rallies and it is so hard to keep the ball in the court.
However, it does not have to be that way...
Tennis in essence, is a very simple game to play and all you really need to know is how to control the ball with spin, to time it properly so you’re the boss of the ball and have a feel of exactly what you are doing! Discover this and you are hooked, tennis becomes the best sport in the world!
Tennis will feel so natural to you!
I teach the extraordinarily successful Modern Tennis Method which teaches players to control the ball with spin from the beginning. Just by sorting out the fundamentals early on, i.e. your tracking of the ball, the timing of the contact, the feel of the ball and the finish of the racket head you will enjoy the quickest and most effective way to improve your tennis today.
John’s teaching philosophy works because he teaches his students the deep learning method that instils new ways into habits before you know it.
